ICON VENTURE CAPITAL
Established in 2017 by Tan Sri Datuk Chai Kin Kong and Yvonne Chai Woon Yun, Icon Venture Capital is a money lender licensed by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government of Malaysia (KPKT) and compliant with the Malaysia Money Lenders Act 1951.

In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic spurred a dramatic consumer shift to online channels. Icon Venture Capital responded by expanding to serve its clients virtually and officially launched Icon PayEx in 2023.
Icon PayEx offers more affordable and fast loans from as low as RM87.50 per month with expediated approvals and longer tenures to effectively meet the immediate needs of the nation, especially those in the underserved B40 community, thereby fulfilling a long-awaited need by the government. Today, Icon Venture Capital remains a trailblazer in Malaysia’s financial market and continues to build upon a solid foundation and track record.
YVONNE CHAI WOON YUN
Director of Icon Venture Capital
Yvonne Chai is a luminary in Malaysia’s corporate and financial scene – leading a new generation of young and dynamic corporate leaders. In 2007, she was appointed the Operations Manager of Cergazam Sdn Bhd, the automotive division of Permaju Industries Berhad.

She continued to grow from strength to strength and took the reins of several more subsidiaries of the group as Managing Director. She was also appointed as the Director of Permaju Industries Berhad in 2014.

Today, she serves as the Director of several private limited companies, including the Aset Kayamas Group of Companies. She co-founded Icon Venture Capital Sdn. Bhd. enabling her to entrench a deeper footprint in the financial services sector.
